Very intriguing.

The only question i have is about the intro. Why didn't you choose to mix between the two melodies? i think that by rushing into the second melody at 0:12 the song was a little diminished, but that's not stopping me from giving you a 5! I think this was very well put together other than that first transition, it seemed a little harsh.

well, honestly i just didn't take the time but, i usually release 2-3 diff versions of songs so ill modify it next time i release a version. Thanks for the review.

Hey there

I'm all about honesty, and honestly, the intro is a little short if you're going to make a 30 minute piece. Don't get me wrong, i like it.

1.) Try bring in some strings (softly) around the :50 mark, but make sure they dont overpower the piano, from what I gather you want the piano to be the main theme in said piece.

2.) Play with octaves. Up down left right no matter the case a higher and/or lower octave helps to break the monotony even if you use the same notes.

3.) Light drums as well help to break away from monotony without overpowering the piano. Just make sure that you keep focusing on the piano / melody. If you focus too much on drums you can lose your train of thought.

4.) In order to keep people listening for 30 minutes you have to "make" them listen. Bring in some parts to pump up the listener, then tone it down a notch, make them think "uh, i wanna hear that again" you can buy yourself some much needed "interest" from the listener.

All in all this isn't a bad into at all!

Thanks, and don't worry, this will be more of an introduction, I will try to bring in the strings at :50 secs

Dude

I would pay $14.95 for a CD if this song were on it! It's realaxing, and man the world needs more relaxation.

Thanks! Yes, I admit to using MMM. It's simplicity is nice but it does make it difficult to create the songs I truly want. I appreciate the good review anyways FoA, may the birds of good fortune encircle you and nest in your hair!

I have to ask..

My friend, what on god's green earth are you doing on newgrounds? Why aren't you composing for some big time company? This seriously belongs in a game, or movie. Beautiful song my friend. 'Nuff said.

Slaytesics responds:

Thank you, I tend to favor dark contemporary classical, not romantic crap that gets all weird in the middle of a piano piece (like going to the top keys and then being like "WEEEEEEEEE")
